Charlies Nail Art

Fimo Playing Cards

I'm so glad it's Friday. I know sometimes I moan how quickly the weeks to by, but this week is one I wanted to go by fast! I'm still battling with my cold 😮 I'm fed up with the horrid weather and think it's all taking toll on me. I'm not sure if you noticed that I haven't been posting so much, as a few days off is needed plus I hope the Easter holidays help.
Anywho yes it's Friday and that means one thing, time for my regular review for Charlies Nail Art.
55p will get you this bag of red and black Ace Fimo Playing Cards.
You get 20 of each card and they are thinly sliced fimo pieces. I won't bore you with how I created my mani as you'll see in my photos.

The fimo cards were stuck on when I applied my top coat and adhered well. A cute detailed playing card in a nice size. These would be great to wear for a poker/ casino night out!

My Favourite Polishes the final

Magnetic

Hello friends, after a very busy week of family and celebrating, whilst trying to keep on top of my reviews, I'm officially pooped! And so glad I can turn my alarm off for the next 2 weeks :)
Well here we are, the final instalment of my favourite polishes. These ones made the cut to be shared with you all as I've been seeing a lot of photos and posts on gel cat eye/magnetic polishes. And from those I tried when I could wear gel were amazing. But just recently (to me anyway) they seemed to have made a huge come back. So now I can longer wear gel, I pulled out my very first magnetic polishes I bought years ago, and yes they still have a magnetic quality, I thought over the years like thermal polishes this may have diminished.
I got these from a Chinese seller on eBay, that's all I can remember. They have no names or numbers. I used my cat eye magnet for the first 2 colours.

Used a different multi line magnet for the blue.
And back to the cat eye for this gorgeous green. I have to admit this one is my favourite.
They all apply with a shimmer look and as soon as you hold the magnet close, they change to a bolder glossier colour. Something fun about these polishes. Personally the only one I don't want to make a come back is the crackle effect. That was one I didn't really like.
Stay safe and much love.....

New Polish

OPI Lisbon Collection

Hey all, just a quick post today as yesterday was mine and hubbys Silver Wedding Anniversary, he's still off work at the mo, pending more tests and results. But as we couldn't celebrate with all the family yesterday we are continuing the celebrations today!
So a while back I won an IG competition from Nail Polish Direct, and along with some other lucky winners got to pick our favourite colour from the OPI Lisbon Collection. Now if you'e been following me for a bit, you'll know blue is my favourite colour. But from this collection I really liked the pink.
This was my IG post.
No Turning Back From Pink Street is a truly stunning creme pink. And my very first OPI polish!! I can't believe how pigmented this polish is and so lovely to apply with self leveling and quick drying time. A gorgeous finish. I'm in love with this brand that I need more!

I added some white floral stamping and dotted in the middle of each flower with the polish. Just so pretty, all ready for Spring.
Have you got any of the Lisbon Collection, let me know in the comments.
Stay safe and much love.....

Born Pretty Store

Sunlight Thermal Pigment

How was your weekend? Mine was a nice mix of relaxing and family fun. We did an early Easter Egg hunt for my 3 yr old granddaughter and she absolutely loved it. So much so we had to hide the eggs again!
Do you like thermal polishes? Well how about some thermal pigments from Born Pretty Store that change colour in the sun. Now honestly I was a bit of a twit when I picked these to review!! Firstly as I didn't realise the they solar activated, and we don't get much sunshine in the U.K! And secondly I got a bit confused when picking the colours I'd like to try and asked for completely different colours. But don't get me wrong they are still both very pretty, although honestly I wouldn't have picked the orange due to this shade clashing with my skin tone.
Shade 6.
Shade 5
Before I share my photos check out my video where I tried a few different experiments with applying these pigments, plus also be aware these are ment for gel polish, and I use regulr polish. As the sun was shining I took advantage and tried both powders.Ok I'll stop waffling now.....
Shade 6 goes from a very pale pink, through shades of different pink till it eventually turns red. The longer you are in the sun, the more intense the colour gets. Even though it wasn't very warm while the sun was out, I was utterly amazed how quickly these solar pigments changed, and with regular polish too. No gel or water based polish in sight!

Shade 5 is the orange and boy was this hard to photograph the colour change! But you can see the beautiful pale orange changes to a bright blood red orange.

As always you can find Born Pretty Store over on FacebookInstagram and Twitter, plus don't forget to use my discount code BABX31.

Charlies Nail Art

AB Oval Gems

Hello all, here we are Friday again! Plus I'm counting the days till the school Easter holidays lol, starting next Thursday. How fast is this year going!!
For my Charlies Nail Art review today I've gone pink and very girly, as these Oval AB Gems are a lovely size, very bling and sparkly. You get 10 gems for 89p that measure 4mm x 6mm with a flat back.
I painted my ring finger with a metallic pink and glossy finish. My other nails I left matte, with a soild and gradient. I used 2 different water decals that I've previously reviewed for Charlies Nail Art for extra detail. The oval gems adhered well with just top coat and are the perfect finishing touch to this mani. I also noticed they didnt go cloudy unlike some cheaper gems when I stick them to my nails with just top coat.

These AB Oval's would love great over any base colour and paired with other smaller gems to make a full out bling mani.

IZ Beauty of London

Crystal Vision Collection

Howdy all, after the cold and snow part 2, I took advantage of the sun to swatch this brand new collection of polishes from IZ Beauty of London. These gel effect polishes are 6ml and £6 each. And how amazing to have a gel effect holo polish!
Crystal Vision are a fine glitter with a beautiful holographic sheen, there are 4 to this collection.
If you buy the set, they come packaged in this pretty box. All photos have been taken in direct sunlight and natural light in the shade.
Eternally Emerald is a very pretty mid green. Opaque in 2 coats and super sparkly. I used Get Plumped topcoat.

Magenta Magic is a stunning bright pink, you can see live application of this one in my video below. Again very pigmented and opaque in 2 coats.

Amethyst Angel is a lighter more delicate pink, I love how these all came to life with a stunning rainbow holo sparkle in the sun.

Finally Sapphire Stone is a very pretty blue, as the previous 3 opaque in 2 coats. Application of them all is really nice, with a good size brush. Quick drying time, and once I'd applied Get Plumped Top coat the glossy finish with the holo goodness is simply stunning.

IZ Beauty of London not only sell gel effect polishes but many other items, why not check out their website linked above, and take at look at their Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Born Pretty Store

Chameleon Holo Flakies

Hi guys, how was your weekend? Mine was busy cake making on Saturday and the family over yesterday for my son's 20th birthday. We had such a laugh and a massive Chinese takeaway which was extremely yummy 😊
So today I have another little pot of the most amazing Holo Flakies. You get 0.1/0.2g of product but to me the pot has a nice amount.
I have shade number 2, and as usual applied over regular black polish. The holo twinkle is just amazing as is the chameleon effect. They are super easy to use. I did try to get a more chrome look, but unlike gel there is only so hard you can burnish pigments into you nails when using regular polish. The final look though is still extremely stunning. You can check out the application in my video below.

So you can see just how quick this mani was to create. A gorgeous base that look striking even in low lighting. My discount code is below for you all 😊

Charlies Nail Art

Cupcake Nails

Well here we are Friday again. I was at my daughter's school last night for a meeting to do with the subjects she wants to study for her GCSE exams. I can't believe she is my last child to go through school. My baby is growing up so fast!
Talking of my kids, my son is 20 on Sunday and my review for Charlies Nail Art is a perfect birthday mani. These cute 3D Cupcake charms are so detailed and look so yummy! You get 2 charms for just 29p.
For my base I took the colours from the cup cake case and painted my nails with a light teal polish, then with a striper brush and red polish added thin stripes to 2 nails and polka dots on the others. I added the 3D Cupcakes to the dotty nails with top coat.

I didn't realise I matched these colours so well!
And these charms are a nice size and great for a party of any kind, or if you fancied a fun look for you nails. There are 3 different kinds to chose from.
FacebookInstagram and Twitter is were you can check out Charlies Nail Art and should you place an order my 15% discount code BNM15 is there for you to use.
Have a great weekend and as always stay safe, much love...
