Colour Block Nails

Cuccio Pro Dipping Powder

Hey all! Hope you are well, and like me looking forward to the Bank Holiday weekend. A few days ago I was playing with the dipping powders from Cuccio. Then I had an idea to see if I could create a colour block using tape. These 2 colours are from the Starter Kit.
A bit tricky to do, but the finished look is super striking and so pretty. And yes you can do a colour blocked look on natural nails with tape. Here are my photos and I've done a video tutorial at the end of this post.

These dipping powders are great for a long wear mani with a super smooth finish. Also great for any nail length or extended with a tip.
Have you tried dipping powders, or would you like to try them?
I'd love the know, have a great weekend and as always stay safe and much love...

Charlies Nail Art Review

Nail Foil

Friday at last! Hello to you all, and if you're a regular follower of my blog you'll know it time for my next review for Charlies Nail Art. It's also my second nail foil tutorial this week. This foil however is a patterned one, and my video explains how you know which side you apply to your nails.
This heart nail foil is a strip measuring 13mm x 4mm for just 39p. As the hearts are transparent I thought I'd would be fun to paint each of my nails with a different coloured glitter polish.
Check out my video below...
And to my photos...

Such a fun look, and super easy to apply with perfect coverage. Charlies Nail Art has lots of new items in stock, some of which I will be reviewing. As always my discount code is below and you can keep up to date with Charlies Nail Art on Facebook,
Instagram and Twitter.
Have yourselves a great weekend, and stay safe, much love.....

Born Pretty Store

Holographic Polishes

Over the weekend we actually saw the sun here in the UK!! So I took this rare opportunity to do my next 2 swatches of my new holo polishes I purchased before it disappeared lol.
H005 Dreams Girl is a very pretty lilac/pink polishes. Perfectly opaque in just one coat, but I also do 2 just to make sure!
Thought I'd add a holographic decal :)
H006 Fly in the Sky is such a lovely blue. Sadly this bottle was broken during shipping, but I was able to save most of the polish, and I'm waiting on a replacement bottle. J usr look at that incredibly stunning holo rainbow ♡
I know these polishes also stamp well, so using H001 I stamped an animal print.
Loving the overall quality of these new 10ml holographic polishes from Born Pretty Store and I'd recommend them to anyone who not only loves polish in general, but holographic ones.
H007 and 008 swatches coming soon, till then stay safe and much love....

Kiara Sky Dipping Powder

French Manicure Dipping

Howdy! Hope I find you well today. I'm good too :)
So I'm here with another review using the Kiara Sky Dipping Powder. This post is all about creating a dipped French Manicure just using 3 dipping powders, natural, light pink and pure white.
These powders are all in the Starter Kit or can be purchased separately in the Kiara Sky Website.
Also to make creating a sharp and clean French manicure tip, this handy plastic tub is made especially for this nail look.
As I prefer the classic French on shorter nails, my swatching hand was perfect for this post! You start by prepping and priming your nails, then apply Base to 3/4 of your nails and dip in Natural Powder. Paint your whole nail again with Base, and this is where the tub comes in. You pour the white dipping powder into the tub, and slide you nail into the powder to create the French Manicure dipped nail, the dip your nail in a pink of your choice to even out the surface of the nail. You do this again once more, then apply Seal and Protect.
I made a video tutorial so you can see this better.
So to my finished mani, I added some delicate lace stamping and top coated. The final result is super smooth and completely stunning. Also help my nails feel stronger while their still getting better.
FacebookInstagram,  Twitter and YouTube are all the places you can keep up to date with Kiara Sky, and why not give them a like or follow while your there.
I've got some more reviews coming using these dipping powders, so be sure to keep an eye out for them!
Stay safe and much love....

Born Pretty Store

Holo Nail Foil

Oh my! There really isn't enough time in the day for everythingI need to get some.
Happy Monday all :)
To start this week I have my next review for Born Pretty Store. I haven't used nail foil in ages and these really caught my eye, super pretty and so sparkly with an addes holo rainbow.

You get 16 strips of Sparkly foil each with a different pattern, well worth buying for this great choice of foils.
For my first man I used a floral pattern. I applied a silver holo base Polish, then foil glue. Once dried this foil stuck and applied so well and look fab...till I applied what I thought was a water based top coat.

Check out my video..

So when I tried the next foil, I used the same application but once I'd applied the foil, I painted the foil glue again then top coated. This worked better and could see a slight rainbow, but sadly no sun!!

Below is my discount code for these foils or anything else you like from Born Pretty Store
And you can keep up to date with them on
FacebookInstagram and Twitter.
Stay safe and much love....

Charlies Nail Art Review

Mermaid Pearls

It's Friday and that means I'm here with my regular review for Charlies Nail Art. Also yay to a 4 day week, means the weekend gets here quicker lol.
The mani I have created today is perfect for a one time wear, and super pretty.
These Mermaid Pearls are brand new on Charlies Nail Art Website, and come in either Light or Dark pearls. There are a mixture of different sizes in each bag for only 89p. They are very pretty and have an irridescent finish.
I decided to do an sea themed mani and started with a white base to which I applied mermaid pigment. I sorted out some different coloured and size pearls, then stamped some shell images in matching colours to the pearls.

The bigger pearls are raised quite a bit, but they all stuck well with topcoat. Such a unique look for a one day special occasion. The smaller pearls are a nice size for longer wear.
For these Mermaid Pearls, or any item old or new from Charlies Nail Art use my discount code BNM15 to get 15% off your order. And keep up to date on Facebook,
Instagram and Twitter.
Stay safe and much love...

Polish and Swatches

Diego Dalla Palma

How are you all doing? I'm great and steaming through reviews! Today I have 4 polishes I was sent to swatch and review. These Diego Dalla Palma are stunning pigmented polishes in large 14ml bottles.
Diego Dalla Palma are an Italian brand of cosmetics, and the quality of these polishes is amazing. The 4 colours I have are all swatched with 2 coats and topcoat. The larger brush makes applying these polishes so easy, able to cover my whole nail without touching any surrounding skin.
Red Passion is a super vivid bright red creme.
The finish of these polishes is totally smooth and shiny before topcoat. A nice quick touch dry drying time too.
Opera is also a creme in a dusky toned red wine shade.
Very true to bottle shade, and perfectly opaque in just one coat! A nice warm colour too, and not too vampish.
Cool Peony is a very girly Barbie Pink and a great Summer colour.
This one was slightly sheerer than the previous 2, but still opaque in 2 coats.
Lastly we have White House, a great staple colour and this is one of the best whites I've got. One coat and this polish was completely opaque!
A great base for nail art and water marbling, and a nice creme finish.
I then tried stamping. Some great and not so great results, depending on the base colour.
White House stamped great, but Cool Peony was very subtle over Opera.

Opera stamped nicely over Cool Peony, looking very delicate. But over white each of the 3 colours stamped and showed up well.
I like it when a polish is versatile, not sure if they water marble, That test is coming soon. You can purchase these polishes from Diego Dalla Palma and Marks and Spencers, and they were sent to me for an honest review.
Stay safe and much love...

Dipping Powder Nails

Kiara Sky

Hello lovely people! Today I have the start of many reviews on the Kiara Sky Dipping Powder Kit and other coloured dipping powders. I received the starter kit and other items to review, all packaged well and delivery took 4 days from America! Speedy right...
The starter kit contains all you need in full size items.
Perfect as an alternative to acrylic or gel nails, and for me as I'm allergic to gel polish. This tray is especially for a French manicure , and a 2oz pot of Clear Powder.
The pots of coloured and glitter powders are all 1oz, and filled to the top. Kiara Sky stock a huge range of different colours and finishes, the ones I was sent are 4 creme and 2 glitters.
Pink SlippersIris and ShineSterling,
Skies the LimitRoses are Red and Cherry Dust.
For my nails I used Cherry Dust as an accent and paired it with Pink Slippers. I think these two complimented each other perfectly.
To start you prepare your nails by pushing back cuticles, and gently removing the natural shine. You apply the Bond to all your nails. Then working on 1 nail at a time, apply Base to 3/4 of your nail and dip into Natural Powder.  Applying the base again to the whole nail and dip into the the colour powder. A third coat of base and dip into the coloured powder again, to insure full colour coverage. One last later of base and dip into the Clear powder. This later is to protect the colour when you file and smooth the nail. Use Seal and Protect to dry all the layers. Now you can file. Once happy wash your hands to remove all dust particles. Apply Seal and Protect again and then 2 layers of Top, finish your new dipped powder mani with the Nourish Oil.
I made a quick video tutorial, so you can see the application better.

I wasn't expecting to love Cherry Dust as much, it looks absolutely stunning once filed and top coated. Pink Slippers is a very pretty shade, but I think I slight over filed, that's why 2 nails look lighter. An easy mistake to make, and one that you learn through practise with this product.

Even so I really do like this mani and love how these 2 dipping powders go so well together.
For my review next time I'll show you the French Manicure dipped nail. So be sure to come and check that out.
Many thanks for stopping by and as always stay safe, much love....
