Star burst Water Marble

Collection Polishes

Hello lovely readers, I'm writing this post, but really not feeling it. Since Saturday I fear the nail polish gods have left me, as not only do I have no inspiration for nail art, I really can't be asked to paint them!!
However I have done a water marble today using 2 polishes from Collection  (formally known as Collection 2000)
I have done a star burst marble before , but after a post in the Marbled Manicures group on Facebook I've found an easier way to do it.
The colours I used are Ebony and Pink Spirit, and I had a white polish base.

Happy with the colour choice and how much easier the marble was to do, it was just my finger placement that let me down. And actually they look better in the photos than in person!
Well that's all for now, thanks for stopping by and until next time stay safe and much love....

Indie Polishes

Giveaway Winner :)

Hey all I'm so excited to be doing this post as I won a giveaway over at Nail Lacquer UK and now have my first 2 Indie Polishes :) They are 2 amazing colours, and I have swatched both over black on different nails, so I'll get right on with showing you..

I used MUA in Pitch Black as my base.

Green with Envy and Sea Reflections.

How amazing are the colour shifts in both these polishes. Green with Envy shifts from green to a redy brown and even a gold in different lights, and Sea Reflections goes from blue and green through to purple. I'm even sitting here now moving my nails and watching the colours change!!
The application for both of these was smooth and nice as the brushes are a nice size, and the drying time was pretty quick too. Thank you so much to Ave at Nail Lacquer UK for making these polishes for her giveaway.

Have yourselves a great weekend, and stay safe much love...

A2Z Nails and T is for

Texture

So here we are again with another A2Z and I loved doing this one, even though I'm not one for a textured nail look. I have done a Quilted mani using 2 awesome colour polishes that I have fallen in love with! I'm not one for light coloured/nude nails but these polishes are so so pretty.
Revlon Pale Cashmere is a sheer polish and took 3 coats to get my base look.

Next I cut loads of striping into small strips, and stuck diagonally on my nails as so..

Although I worked on one nail at a time,  I stuck all the bits of tape on ready. With Beauty UK Grit FX  in Kensington, a beautiful creamy looking polish that goes so well with Revlon Pale Cashmere, I painted over the tape, and when happy with the coverage I pealed the pieces of tape off.

When this was dry I added some Rose Gold Micro beads in the spaces were the tape overlapped.

I love the look of both of these, but think the micro beads add an extra touch.
The last letters in the mani are proving to be tricky, but I'm sure I'll come up with something lol.
Till next time, stay safe and much love...

Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend!

Marilyn Monroe Water Decals

Hey all and I have another review for you on some gorgeous Marilyn Monroe Water Decals from Charlies Nail Art. There are 3 different designs in these decals and all at a £1.00 each. Now when I think of Marilyn, Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend comes to mind, and of course the famous 'White Dress'.

Just look at how many beautiful decals you get, and such a great way to decorate you nails if you are not good with freehand. Just imagine how long it would take to paint such a clear and detailed image on your nails!
Each decal is separate, the packing just shows you how you could apply them on your nails. I carefully cut the ones I was using for this review, and one by one applied them on my nails. Each one I held in water with tweezers.

The slide the decals from the backing with your fingers, and carefully place on the nail.

Once I had finished this is what I had come up with..

Just amazing detail, even on the smaller green gems and lipstick. I added some of my own silver square rhinestones to represent diamonds.

I love these and if you are a fan, why not try out the Audrey Hepburn Decals also priced £1.00.
Charlies Nail Art have great customer service, quick delivery on posting items, and even ship world wide, not just in the UK. They sell a great range of different nail items at awesome prices, and you can also follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Are you a Marilyn fan? I'd love to know what you think of the mani, and until next time stay safe and much love...

Painting a Picture

Freehand Floral Landscape

I've seen so many beautiful nails freehand painted like a picture of a floral landscape, and they look so pretty. I've been wanting to try it myself, but kept putting it off as my freehand is better than it was, but this type of painting is much smaller and more detailed.  So today I bit the bullet and had a go as I'd seen a picture on Google that I really liked.

So pretty and colourful. Armed with loads of coloured acrylic paints, water and a very fine detail brush I started painting,  working on one nail at a time.  No bearing in mind I haven't tried anything like this before, I'm really proud of my first attempt.

Not sure when I'll try this type of freehand again as it did take a lot of work with the fine detail, but I love these and hope you do to.
Thanks for reading, and as always stay safe and much love...

China Plate Inspired Stamping.

Blue and White Nails

Wow another Saturday, and almost the end of another month!! Hello to you all again, just a quick post today to show you my China Plate Inspired stamping. I love seeing this design on nails, something I have wanted to try for a while and I was going to attempt it freehand, but looked through all my stamping plates and found one from Born Pretty that I thought would look awesome, and be so much easier!

Started with 2 coats of Beauty UK Nails White Out and a matte topcoat. Then stamped the image in the bottom right corner of Born Pretty BP 17 using a blue polish from The Edge Nails called Rome. Topcoat and finished. What do you think?

I'm so happy with these. The blue and white complement each other so well.
Have a great weekend, and stay safe, much love...

Charlies Nail Art Review

Easter Water Decals

Hello again and I'm here with another review for Charlies Nail Art. Today I have some Easter Water Decals to show you all, and can I saw how cute they look, and on shorter nails too.

The ones I was sent are called Easter Nail Art and cost only £1.00. Charlies also do a huge range of different items for Easter nails which you can look at here.

So my my review I was using 1 of each of the different decals and started with a white base nail which I rainbow-ed with pastel nail polish, to give a more Spring look. Well with today being the 1st day of Spring why not!

The decals where super easy to apply, and I found I didn't have to hold them in water for very long either. They slid nicely off the backing paper and stuck to my nail, with me still being able to slide around to get placement right, but without sliding too much of sticking to my finger whilst moving. They also dried on my nails very quickly and laid on each nail nicely.

Super cute and pretty decals that make such a nice Easter mani that I love.
You can follow Charlies Nail Art on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and I have another water decal review for you very soon on some gorgeous one also from Charlies Nail Art.
So till then, thanks for reading, stay safe and much love..
