Models Own Review

Swatches, Marbling and Patchwork

Happy Saturday everyone! I'm here will my final review for Models Own. I have the last 4 Hyper Gel polishes from the Twilight Collection to share with you all. I not only have swatches but another water marble too. So let's start...

Deep Sea is the most gorgeous dark green, very deep and mysterious, almost black looking and swatched with 2 coats and topcoat.

Sweet Sherry is another dark burgandy. Don't know why but it reminds me of Mulled Wine! Again swatched with 2 coats and topcoat.

Cashmere Rose is a dusky pink and a very pretty shade. Swatched herewith 2 coats and topcoat.

Lunar Grey is a stunning shade. Until now I didn't have a perfect grey polish. Swatched with 2 coats and topcoat.

I love the brush size on these polishes, as you get perfect coverage with fewer brush strokes. With careful application, Sweet Sherry and Deep Sea could possibly be one coaters, but I did 2.
Again these polishes water marble really well and using Sweet Sherry, Cashmere Rose and Lunar Grey, I did this mani.

Finally I did one more mani, a true favourite look of mine.. Patchwork Nails. I used Lilac Flush, Cosy Posy, Sugar Rush from the Soft Pop collection and Lunar Grey. Painted small section of each colour over a white base and added tiny stitches with black acrylic paint. A matte topcoat finishes the look.
I absolutely love these polishes, not only for the colours but the quality is great, the fact they marble is awesome and they compliment each other so well too.

Charlies Nail Art

Strawberry Nails

Another Friday, which means not only is another week almost over, but it's time for my regular reviews for Charlies Nail Art.
I'll get straight into this post on these super cute 3D Strawberries, that are only 29p.
So realistic looking and Summery, and a nice size too. For my mani, I wanted to try some more freehand. Nothing too intricate like my hieroglyphics, just lines to make a gingham table cloth look. To this I made some stamping decals and applied the 2 3D Strawberries as an accent nail.

I didn't even realise till I looked at my photos that I stupidly stuck some of the decals the wrong way round!! But even so it doesn't notice that much and I really like how the stamped Strawberries and the 3D ones compliment each other on the gingham picnic blanket.

Emily de Molly Stamping

Egyptian Nails

Hi guys, wow I'm not only super busy with reviews, but I'm also looking after 5 kittens who are only 12 days old. And with the Summer holidays too I'm definitely being kept on my toes!!
Anyway I have today one of 2 reviews for Emily de Molly, an Australian brand and i received them really quickly. The first on a round stamping plate that I absolutely love.
EDM 08 has the prettiest Egyptian designs, both full nail and singular.
The detail of these designs is amazing. I mean look at the tiny hieroglyphics!  Even though my nails are long, I'm still able to use this plate, with double stamping and a clear jelly stamper. I have done 3 separate mani's.

How unique and fabulous does these hieroglyphics and Tutankhamun look over gold glitter.

I made decals of the sand and pyramids, and stamped the white clouds directly on my nails. I think I like this mani the best; on how I was able to take the image and adapt to my nails.

Lastly just to show you don't really have to do an Egyptian look I stamped with white over a blue sparkly gel base.
The images are etched really well and I'm loving this plate so much.
You can find, follow and like Emily de Molly on Facebook and Instagram.
I'll be back soon with my next review on a rectangular stamping plate.
Stay safe and much love...

VB Line Gel Polishes

Swatches and Review

Hello all again! I'm here with my next review for VB Line. Again I have another 5 gel colours with different finishes to show you all. These polishes are 8ml and priced at £5.99 each. The shade numbers are on the bottom of the bottles and the top of the lid shows the colour and effect of the polish inside. Which is great when you need to pick a colour to wear.

276 Silver Metallic. This is packed full of glitter which makes this a gel have great coverage.

269 Hot Plum Purple. Looks almost red on colour, but a completely stunning shade.

007 Metallic Orange. Not normally a shade I'd wear, but this is simply gorgeous and so Summery.

359 Light Grey. A colour I don't have many of, and it's a pretty shade of grey.

300 Pink Pearl Metallic. Absolutely beautiful finish and colour.

These were all swatched with 2 coats and topcoat, curing in between each coat. The glossy finish even before topcoat is amazing. They also seem a low to no odour gel :)
You can find and follow VB Line over on
FacebookInstagram and Twitter.
And join me again soon for my next review and another 5 gel polishes.
Thank you for stopping by and as always stay safe and much love...

Born Pretty Store

BP-X Square Stamping Plate

So today I have another square stamping plate from Born Pretty's BP-X Series. This one is an Animal Print design one, with animal faces and full nail print aswell as a full nail skull image and a cute single sugar skull.
Even though these full nails designs are square in size, with some nifty and careful stamping using the jumbo clear stamper it is possible to double stamp an image. But it depends on the length of your nails. Don't let this put you off though, I was able to create 3 very different mani's all double stamped.
This one was inspired by the picture with this plate on the Born Pretty website. A blue to green gradient with the giraffe print stamped with Born Pretty Black.

I then did a reverse animal print by stamping with Born Pretty Yellow over a black base using the leopard print image.

Lastly I had to try out the skulls and sugar skull. So I stamped with black over white and made an accent nail for the sugar skull which I made a decal.

Totally love this plate, the images are etched really well and stamp perfectly. The Born Pretty stamping polishes used the the jumbo clear stamper creates crisp clear images too.

Angel Nail Studio

Hypnose Nail Vinyls

Hi! Start of a new week, and I hope you all had a great weekend. I've been enjoying trying out these different nail vinyls from Angel Nail Studio, and for someone who had only ever tried vinyls once, I know understand the fascination with them. As the colour choices as well as designs can create so many different and beautiful mani's.
This Hypnose design is simply unique and fabulous. It took me a while to work out my colour choices, plus I didn't want to keep sponging over vinyls with black polish. It was time for something different.
I also wanted to try these vinyls over gel polish,  so I used a very pretty sparkly red gel as my base, placed the vinyl so the middle swirl was central on each nail and painted over...(yes painted not sponged this time) a blue sparkly polish from Sinful Colors. Peeled the vinyl off and was amazed how stunning the 2 colours looked together. Added a final gel topcoat and I'm just in love with this mani. It's one if those you never want to remove!!

And as I use a peel off base with gel polish, I can keep them!
For these or any other vinyls used my code below and get 20% discount from your order.
