Textured Glitter

What to do on my nails....

Hello all, a late and quickish post today as I have lost all inspiration for nail art :( Shopping this morning and only came home with a cake, no pretty polish waiting for me to buy them!
I have painted my nails 3 times today and each time flaffed with them and didn't like what I'd done. I did however like this colour very much..

An awesome neon pink from Jess polish in Poundland. I have worn this before, but this time I added a stamp design and really didn't like it. So off this came. I finally decided on Gosh Textured Matt Glitter in Frosted Purple.

I wouldn't call this a purple polish as its more silver. A smooth textured finish and packed with loads of silver glitter. This is just one coat and it applies really nice with a quick drying time.
I'm hoping I get some inspiration back next week, as I'm not one to leave my nails plain. Till then stay safe and much love. Have a great weekend...

Watercolour Nails

Watercolour and Acrylic Paint

I really wasn't planning on doing another post so soon, but wanted to try this nail art out when I watched a video on youtube by Tartofraise, a very talented lady. So my mani today is inspired by Tartofraise.
I painted my nails white and then added a matte topcoat. When this was dry I painted my nails with a thin layer of white acrylic paint. This is to help the water colour paint stay on the nail better. I have got a kids watercolour paint palette, but found the cheap tubes worked better for me.
With a thin detail brush I painted small curvy lines in different colours all over each nail. To get the outline effect of each colour, I dried the brush and painted over the line again, and this removed some of the paint. For my first attempt at trying this I am very pleased with the outcome, and will try it again now I know what to do.

Even my cinderella hand came out good, so all my freehand practise is definitely paying off :)

I would really like to hear your thoughts on the nail art, and would you try it?
Thanks for taking the time to have a read, till next time stay safe and much love..

Moyou Nails Review

Moyou Nails

Happy Wednesday everyone and hello again! I have been very busy with things here, but managed to find the time for another review for Moyou Nails. I have another 2 stamping plates and pink stamping polish to share with you today. Knowing how well the black and white stamping polish from Moyou Nails works, I couldn't wait to see if the pink was just as good.

Plate 97 have the most awesome written images on, great for doing print nails without having to mess around with pieces of newspaper! The other plate N23 has some very pretty swirl and floral images, and a nice heart one which would be good for a Valentines manicure.
For this review today I have used three different images and black, white and the pink polish. I used the small fine writing on plate 97 for all nails and 2 of the designs on N23. What do you think?

As you can see the pink stamping polish works really well over a black base, so from this I know all the other stamping polishes that Moyou sell would also work well over a dark polish base colour :) And the plate did not disappoint with how clean and crisp the image looks on your nails.
I will be doing another mani very soon with the other images from these plates, so keep checking back. You can follow Moyou Nails on Facebook

Did my cinderella hand with the pretty swirl image on plate N23 and you can see how well the pink stamping polish works, and such a pretty colour :)

Till next time, stay safe and much love..

These products were sent to me for an honest review.

Rainbow Shimmer

Lead Light Nails

Hello everyone :) I have been obsessed with freehand roses just recently, so wanted something different for today. After doing the polka dot and rose manicure I did this one. Painted my nails with one coat of Sally Hansen Golden I and free hand painted the roses with black acrylic paint.

Onto today's mani... I painted my nails with 2 coats of Beauty UK French Tip, and used Moyou Nails Black stamping polish to stamp the scribble image from Cheeky plate CH 16.

Then using all the 5 pastel shimmer polishes from Claire's Accessories I filled in each gap in the scribbles. It took a while but was well worth it!! These polishes are so nice to use, have a lovely glittery shimmer and dry quickly too.

Then I just had to add Filthy Gorgeous Prism :)

Such a shame my camera didn't do this mani justice, as in the sun it look so sparkly and with the holo top coat just pure lush! What do you think? Well time for me to go as F1 is on soon :) Thanks for reading, and as always stay safe and much love..

Polka Dots and Roses

Black and Red

Hey all and happy Monday to you, just a quick post today with another rose nail art. I wanted to see what red roses looked like on black nails, so using Nails Inc New York Noir I painted my nails with just one coat, used Jess French White to do some polka dots and then freehand painted the roses. I used a darker red for the background colour of each rose and added the detail with a lighter red, then added leaves. Topcoated and done!! I must admit not the best freehand painted roses I have done, but I really like how they look. What do you think?

Can't wait to hear what you think of this mani, and till next time stay safe and much love..

British Red Rose

Flag Nails

Hey everyone, I know I haven't posted anything since Monday, as I seemed to have lost my nail painting mojo :( happy to say its back!! Now I don't mind the odd football match on tv, but the World Cup seems to take over, and I said to myself that I wouldn't do a football manicure.... but ended up doing the St. George's Cross flag for our boys playing tonight. The last football mani I did was for the FA Cup, and Arsenal won, so who knows tonight lol.
I wanted to be different with this mani and was going to do black nails with the English Red Rose on the tips.
I even painted my nails with 2 coats of Beauty UK black polish.

That was as far as I got as really think about it I wasn't sure the red roses would show up well against the black. So opted to use white polish and red roses.

Using just one of the tiny rose images from Cheeky plate CH14 and Beauty UK Gel FX polish in Poppy Red, I stamped the roses one by one on my nails to make the St. George's Cross.

Totally different than just painting single red lines, but still effective. Took a while to do, and was hard to make sure the lines were somewhat straight, but I'm so happy with them :)

I really like these flag nails, especially for someone who said they wouldn't do another football manicure!! Hope you like them too.
Not sure whether I will still be awake when they play, but I wish the English team lots of luck.
Thanks for reading, stay safe and much love...

Taped Water Marble

Black, white and glitter nails

Hey all, I'm so sorry I didn't have this post for my normal Saturday manicure, but I have been unwell, and just not into doing my nails. So happy to be feeling much better, and at last changing mani. I was wearing my freehand roses skittle nails for over a week!

So for today I have done another taped nail art and included water marbling. Painted my nails white, taped off different sections on each nail and water marbled using black and clear. Then the white parts of each nail was painted with two coats of 2True Crystal Nail Polish in shade 4. A very pretty purple glitter polish. Then I made a line of small dots with Barry M silver Foil polish and my small dotting tool, in between the purple glitter and water marble.

I have done something very similar to this before and loved it! Hope you like it too :)

Till next time, thank you for reading, stay safe and much love..

Guess The Polish....

Hello all :) I have an exciting and different type of competition for you all today! As you most probably guessed by the name of this blog post. I received some surprise nail mail containing 2 of the same brand and colour polish. Why 2 the same, well let me explain.
I will be swatching and reviewing this mystery polish and all you have to do is guess the brand of polish, and leave your answer on Rafflecopter at the end of this post. OPEN INTERNATIONALLY. The winner who correctly guesses the right brand will win the other bottle of polish. That is why I was sent 2 :)
This competition is open now and will close mid-night on the 8th June. I will announce the brand of polish on the 9th June and will contact the winner via email or private message on facebook. The polish will be posted as soon as possible also with a surprise from me personally, as a thank you for your continued support with my blog :) and of course entering this fab competition!! Rafflecopter widget at the end of this post.
Now to the polish...

It states it's a quick dry, high gloss and long wear polish., and to paint 2 thin coats over a base coat. 9ml bottle and made in the UK. A new polish from this brand with 22 shades in the collection. I took photos inside and out to show the colour of this polish too :)

Just how pretty and perfect colour match with the geranium:)

Wow! Quick dry.....yes. High Gloss.....yes. Long Wear.....yes. Before I did this post I tried the polish on one hand for a week, and had no peeling or chipping of the polish, even near the tip of my nails :) Could have easily been a one coater, but two coats does make the polish look more vibrant. A lovely brush too, which made applying this polish a dream. Easy clean up as well, as normally red's can be such a pain and stain skin and cuticles. And such a beautiful colour.
I wanted to see if a white base polish would make any difference with the overall colour of this polish. Again photo's inside and out.

I must admit I loved this over a white base. Even now I can't stop staring at my nails as I just love the colour. So Summery, so bright just awesome! But just applied over a base coat still gives you a nice gloss and pretty finish. I also like the fact it is quick drying, I painted one hand, and by the time I had painted the other, the first lot were touch dry! So all in all I really like this polish.
I wanted to see how well it stamped too, so I removed and re-painted my thumb and ring finger white, and stamped using this polish. Great to see it also stamps very well :)

Now over to you :) I made sure I took loads of photo's in shade, sunlight and inside, so you can see the polish in different lighting. All you have to do now is enter the below with Rafflecopter. Good Luck to you all :D
**UPDATE**
The brand of polish is Beauty UK, and the one I swatched is called Coral Burst. Congrats to the winner Emma Blore, who was chosen by Random.org and has till Wednesday Morning to respond to the email I sent. If I hear nothing by this time then another winner will be picked.
