Happy New Year to you All, I hope you had a good night, mine was very quite as I'm still recovering from the flu and was baby sitting kittens who really didn't like the midnight fireworks!
So my first post for 2018 kicks off with my next items from Born Pretty Store
and with the weather feeling even colder this Snowflake Foil
is perfect, there is a choice of 3 designs and I have number 1 the holographic, 2 and 3 are both white with different designed snowflakes, the holo one really caught my eye.
There are many different snowflake designs and sizes on a black base making this a full coverage nail foil. I had already painted my nails with a black polish and let it completely dry. I applied my foil glue that I purchased from eBay, it goes on a milky white and once totally clear it's ready to apply the foil. Working on one nail at a time, I place the foil over my nail and used a Orange wood stick to run over my nail and transfer the snowflakes.
To protect the foil from crinkling I used a water based topcoat, then my regular fast dry topcoat. The finished look is very striking as in dull lighting the snowflakes stand out in a gorgeous silver colour, but once light guys them voila they magically become holographic. Sadly this was so hard to capture.
If you would like a video tutorial on nail foil application let me know in the comments below as I have another foil to review!
