Collection New Polish Release
Press Sample
Hello all, I'm excited to be sharing with you the 3 new polishes due for release very soon by Collection ( formally known as Collection 2000)
I did a post a while back about these, and am now pleased to be able to show you swatches of the 3 limited edition SS15 Field Day Polishes.
As Collection states, 'This limited edition range brings you Spring products that are inspired by overgrown meadows overflowing with wild daisies. Soft pastel tones mixed with joyful brights, a fun loving floral range with three on trend shades in Heather, Peach Blossom and Peony.' The bottles are 8 ml, and says to apply 2 coats for a vibrant colour.
Heather is a mink looking polish, Peach Blossom is not so much Peach but more Coral, and Peony is a beautiful pink. The brush is a nice size, not to wide or small. For each swatch I will be wearing base coat, and show how they look with just one coat first and then two coats as stated on the bottle and with no topcoat.
Up first is Heather, hard to describe the exact shade, as in certain lights it looks a mink brown, and in others almost grey. You can see how nice a size the brush is which made applying this polish really nice, covered each nail in only a few strokes.
This is just one coat, not a bad coverage but will definitely need another.

Much better with 2 coats, drying time was good too. No topcoat, so you can see the nice shiny finish this polish has. A nice colour, makes me think of walks through the park, and woodland.
Peach Blossom
Two coats as stated on the bottle and still too sheer looking for me, as I could still see the tips on some of my nails.
So I applied a 3rd coat, much better. Such a pretty Spring polish, reminds me of sunshine and fruit, and lazy days.
Last up is Peony
My favourite of the three. Such a beautiful shade of pink. Mid range pink, not to light or dark. Blossom on Spring trees comes to mind with this one. Again great application and drying time.
Two coats leaves such a great shiny finish.
I thought I'd also try these polishes for stamping, over black and white.
Heather on ring finger, Peach Blossom on middle and Peony on index. Although they do show up over a dark base it is hard to tell the different colours apart.
Same polishes stamped on the same nails, and as you can see over a lighter base they stamp well, and look very pretty and delicate.
And what about for water marbling... Well take a look and see the results of my quick test.
So not are they only pretty colours for Spring, but they stamp and water marble! What more could you ask from a polish from a brand that doesn't break the bank. These in my opinion are must buy polishes for this season.
They polishes are due for release in Boots on 11th March and Superdrug on 18th March priced at £1.99 each.
I would love to hear what you think of this new polish release from collection for Spring 2015.
Thanks for stopping by, stay safe and much love...

DeleteI've always wanted a polish named Heather, but I don't love this colour. Most Heathers are more lilac like the flowers.
