Granite Nails

Permanent Marker Nail Art

I was so looking forward to trying this mani, but now it's finished I don't like it! Happy Saturday everyone it's been a busy morning here but I eventually got time to do my nails. After seeing several pictures on Facebook and Google of sharpie pen granite look nails, I wanted to have a go myself as they look so easy to do. The only difference is I haven't any Sharpie Pens,  only cheaper ones from my local pound shop.
So I applied a white gel base and tried with blue, purple and black permanent markers.
For starters I didn't find it easy as it looks,  but was happy with the patterns that were appearing on my nails. Secondly when I was really happy with the final look, my pens didn't dry completely. I carried on and applied a gel topcoat and when I was wiping the tacky residue off, some of the pen came off too :( it looks like the topcoat shrunk the design.

I will try again, but think I need to invest in some Sharpie's!! Will this stay on my nails... probably not, I might even add a holo topcoat lol. But why when I do my nails for me just lately, is it a fail? Or am I being too self critical?
Have a great weekend and stay safe and much love....

Charlies Nail Art Review

Diamond Nail Gems

Happy Friday guys :) I'm looking forward to the Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK, not that the weather will be any good lol. Anyway time for my next review for Charlies Nail Art. Today I have a bag of 10 Diamond Nail Gems that come in 5 different colours for 99p.
I was planning on just using one as an accent nail, but decided to use more and some smaller rhinestones I already had to compliment these gems. I choose a black base polish. Here's how this mani came out.

I also too a side view of my nails so you can see how these gems laid on my nails and also how big they are. As always I attended them with a fast dry topcoat and they stuck really well.

Moyou Nails Review

Square Stamping Plate 424

Hello my lovelies, hope Thursday is being good for you. I'm still waiting on nail mail and getting impatient lol. But today I'm back with some more reviews for Moyou Nails new Square Stamping Plates. Like my previous Square Plate reviews I have done 3 different mani's all using Moyou Nails Polishes. So the first plate is 424, described as a plate with a variety of beautiful typography designs making it a perfect choice for someone who loves reading and writing.
Nice size images that are all well etched, and stamp nicely.
On both paper and Moyou Nails rectangle stamper.
And just look at the Clear Jelly Stamper!
Onto my 3 mani's,  after painting my nails white I sponged on these colours to make an antique look, and stamped the sqiggly writing image in black, I added a matte topcoat for a relistic look.

Next up again over a white base I did a gradient stamp with the bottom right cloud like image. I originally was going to stamp with black, but you will see with my final mani why I used these beautiful neon colours.

Love this, but added a holo topcoat just to see.
Lastly for my final look, I stamped again in black with the top mixed number design, so doing a double stamped mani.

Overall this is a beautiful plate that can be used in a variety of different ways. Use my 20% discount code below, click the picture to go to Moyou Nails website.

Blogiversary

Happy Birthday Blog

Hey guys, how are you all? I was busy yesterday tracking my daughter's flight to Florida. I tracked it for the full 9 hours, and stayed awake till I knew she'd arrived safely. Then this morning it suddenly dawned on me that my blog is 3 years old today! !
How quick the past 3 years have gone. I remember being nervous about starting a blog, but so glad I did. I'm so proud of how far I've come since I stopped biting my nails 5 years ago, hence my blog name 'Bite no More'
So to my totally unplanned mani. I used a selection of stamping plates, hehe 049, MoYou Nails 410, Pueen 112 and stamped with Moyou Nails polishes.

Came together pretty nice considering I have no idea what to do!  Then I added a holo topcoat.
I'd also like to say a massive thank you to everyone who takes the time to visit and have a read. Your support is very much appreciated. I love reading comments too and reply to every one :)
So here's to the next year of blogging.
Stay safe and much love....

Lady Queen Review

BC Stamping Plate

My second review for Lady Queen is another rectangular stamping plate from the BC series. BC-07 has 14 full nail and 7 single images. Some pretty lace and floral designs, crowns and palm trees.

As you can see all the images are etched really well and stamped perfectly. I have again done 3 separate mani's with 1 singular image and 2 of the full nail ones.

This lace image looks so pretty and each part of the design no matter how delicate picked up and stamped well.

Gold stamping over black for a more elegant look. And finally my favourite of the 3.

I love this sunset gradient and silhouette palm trees, looks so warm and Summery, and just what we need here in the UK!

St. George's Day Nails

Freehand Roses

Hey all, I'm sitting waiting for the postman as I'm expecting some nail mail today. I have also done some freehand painting on my nails for St . George's Day. It's been ages since I did a freehand mani, and it made a nice change.
I painted my nails with a white base yesterday so they were completely dry for today. On my ring finger I did the St George cross flag with red polish and foil, then painted red and white roses with acrylic paint, added leaves, top coated and done.

Such a simple yet elegant look, that I really love. I even done my cindy hand! I really must try some more freehand mani's, as I really enjoyed painting this one.
Have a great weekend and stay safe, much love....
