Charlies Nail Art Review

Holographic Nail Foil

*Update at the bottom*

Hello beautiful ladies and have I got one awesome review for you today. Again during the month of May I will have weekly reviews for you from Charlies Nail Art, and to start I have an amazing nail foil. On first looking at the foil it was hard to see that there was actually anything in the plastic packet. But oh boy when the sun came out it was so hard to stop looking at the wicked holographic quality the foil was sharing with me!!

Just look at that beautiful rainbow of colours.. I was so excited to try this on my nails, and knew straight away this would look amazing over a black polish.
These foils measure 9cm x 6cm, and enough to do all 10 nails. How nice and easy would this also look on toe nails in the Summer! The amount of different nails foils that Charlies Nail Art sells at the awesome price of 39p means there is something for everyone. Just take a look here. If you would like the one I was sent its number 27 and you can find it here.

I did an accent nail just to see what the foil would look like over another colour. Then for the application of the foil I used my foil glue. But wait just a mo and don't panic if you don't have any foil glue. You can also apply this foil using normal nail polish..How great is that!

I have used nail foils before and like the water decals, this foil was one of the best I have ever used. It gave my nails complete coverage, and the holo-ness was better than any holo topcoat polish I have ever used!!

Here's a quick video on how easy this foil was to use..

Can you see now why I love this foil and couldn't wait to share with you all. Just stunning! It looks nice over the pink polish, but I knew the darker polish would show the holographic rainbow perfectly. And when I protected the foil with a topcoat, most of you know that foils crack....with this one there was no cracking to be seen at all!! So all in all for 39p this foil is super value and a great and easy way to get awesome looking nails.
Don't forget you can keep up to date with Charlies Nail Art on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

Thank you all for your continued support and taking the time to read my posts....till next time stay safe and much love..
So I was asked how this foil compared to a holo topcoat. So on 2 swatch nails I have done a comparison. Please note the holo topcoat is one I made myself.

Holographic Topcoat

Holographic Nail Foil

You can see although both pretty finishes, the foil has much more of a rainbow holo effect than my own made topcoat.

  1. I love how this foil is slightly sheer so you still get to see the base color. Genius!
