30 Days of Colour Challenge

Denim

Hello again, I have done a few denim effect nails before, and although I also have denim look polishes I wanted to do a step by step guide to how I create the look on my nails using acrylic paint and a fan brush.
To start I painted my nails with 2 coats of a darkish blue polish.

Then I wet the tip of my fan brush, dried on tissue and spread the bristles.

Loaded just the tip with some white paint and wiped the excess off on foil.

Brushed up and down my nails, loading the brush with more paint as needed like above.

Repeat these steps by swiping from side to side to create a cross pattern.

With a small piece of sponge and the same blue polish I added some patches.

Cleaned up and added a matte topcoat.

I really love this effect and how it does look like denim. I wanted to added something to this but not stitching, so with Pueen 109 and Barry M Silver I stamped zips.

I'm not sure is I should have used gold for the zips instead, it looks better in person. So I had a go at stamping over with Barry M Gold, a bit hit and miss, but looks better and it's such an easy way to get a denim effect.

Stay safe and much love...
