Revel Nail

Wanderlust Collection

Hi peeps, I'm so excited to be sharing this post with you! If you've been following me for a while, you'll know I just love dipping powders. Then Revel Nail came out with a limited edition set called Wanderlust. Sadly this collection is no longer available, but you can still purchase Revel Mates sets of dipping powders with matching nail polish.
Wanderlust meaning is to travel and each name from the set is 'hello' in different languages.
So as you can see each of the 6 dip powders have a matching shade nail polish, so you can have matching nails and toes! I mean it would be fun trying to dip your toes lol.
Over the coming weeks I'll be showing you a side by side comparison with each of these. The dip powder I'll do on my cindy hand and the polish on my swatching hand.
First up is this stunning pink called Xin Chào.
Now on first looking at the powder, it looks a lot lighter than the polish! Well the saying 'don't judge a book by its cover' comes to mind, as when you look at the powder below, you'll see an almost perfect match.
First up the polish, 15ml in a nice shape bottle and brush. Swatched with 2 coats and topcoat, a super bright neon that's highly pigmented and a beautiful creme.
The dipping powder I dipped 3 times, each with a thin layer of base, so not to make my nails look thick and bulky.
In person these 2 are exactly the same shade, the one thing I will do with the next shade is to do a layer of clear dip powder, to protect the colour when filing and refining the shape after dipping.

But all in all, for my first impression, I'm super impressed! A nice selection of colours that can be worn all year round.
I also finished this mani with some black rose stamping.

I'll will try to do a video tutorial on the next shade I choose to do.
But check out the Revel Mates sets and their dipping powders, and keep up to date with them on FacebookInstagram andTwitter.
Stay safe and much love.....
