Saturday Nails

Nails for Me..

Hi friends, I'm having so much fun recently being able to do my nails for me. But I'll be back with more exciting reviews on Monday. For this weekend I wanted to try something different. One Stroke nail art. Now I'm not good at this using my dominant hand so did I need the nail fairies with me while trying this technique with my non dominant hand! So I started with my baby boomer base and matte top coated.
All ready to start...and then fail!! I tried for almost an hour and was getting no where, so gave up. If at first you don't succeed then make reverse stamped decals lol. Using BP L029 I made red and pink rose decals. I did stamp a swirly image in white from plate XY P15 first. I then placed the roses and added some freehand leaves. 2 coats of glossy top coat and done!

Then added a matte top coat.
Not exactly the mani I had in mind, but nail art should be fun, and not stressful. I won't give up on my one stroke journey, but for now I'm happy with today's look.
Have you conquered one stroke?
Have a great weekend and as always stay safe and much love...

  1. The end result is beautiful. One stroke is difficult. I think people have more success using acrylic paints because I failed at it with polish.

    1. Thank you, I may invest in some new acrylic paint, as I think the ones I was using did my help x

  2. I envy those that can do onestroke nail art designs- they make it look so simple! Your final look is lovely even if it isn't what you initially had in mind.

  3. I have never tried one stroke but love seeing when people do it. Maybe one day I'll give it a shot. Lol. Your final is still beautiful regardless!

  4. I, too, have tried and failed with one stroke, so I'm sticking to decals for sure, haha. These did turn out lovely, though!
