Bargain Polish Buys

Pride of London Polishes

Hoe are you all doing? I'm good and been busy getting everything ready for today's post. As I mentioned in my Orly polish post I wanted to do swatches of some of my untried cheaper polishes. I purchased these Pride of London Metallic Polishes a few years ago from a market stall for £5, and they have been pushed to the back of my helmer drawers :( not because they are cheap in price, just because my polish collection grew so quickly I simply forget about them! So without waffling on anymore I'll get straight on with my swatches.

Sadly these polishes have no names just numbers. They are classed as metallic, but to me they are more shimmery, still very beautiful though. Each colour has been swatched with 2 coats over a base coat and no topcoat.

This one was super pretty in the sun, I just had to see what a holo topcoat would do.

Again I added a holo topcoat.
Overall I really can't believe I haven't used these polishes before! The were lovely to apply and dried pretty quickly. The finish was gorgeous in the shade and the sun. And smooth to the touch. I will so be giving these polishes some more love this Summer, and so glad I did this post.
Thank you so much for stopping by and what do you think of these cheaper polishes?
Stay safe and much love....

  1. I'm not a huge fan of metallics usually because they can so easily look brush strokey...but these look lovely! Great swatches!

  6. Great review! I love posts like these. Some inexpensive brands are not good, but some are excellent, and it's so helpful to know which is which!

  9. Strangely enough, the metallic finish doesn't bother me like it usually does. I want to matte them so badly!
