Charlies Nail Art Review

Oriental Nail Foil

Happy Friday guys! I'm sort of in a better place now. Yesterday I didn't do anything apart from laying on the sofa watching day time tv!
Onto today's review for Charlies Nail Art, and some very pretty, sparkly nail foil. This Oriental Flower and Butterfly Nail Foil costs only 39p for a 13cm x 4cm strip. More than enough to do all 10 nails, fingers or toes!

Super pretty,  don't you agree. And I thought the best way to show the silver sparkle was to place this foil over black polish. I know normally you paint your nails the same colour as foil, so it's less noticeable should any foil not stick, but knowing how good the foils from Charlies Nail Art are, I knew this wouldn't be a problem. So once the polish was completely dry and the foil glue too, I placed the flowers on this foil randomly on my nails. Here is before topcoat.

My trick to stop foil crinkling and cracking when topcoat is applied is to paint another layer of foil glue and let it dry. This creates a barrier and when top coated the foil still looks perfect.  Here is with topcoat.

I really like how this looks over a darker base and the flowers are super pretty and very detailed. For this or any other nail art bits from Charlies Nail Art, use my discount code below.

Stay safe and much love....

  10. These are beautiful and I love your non-crinkle tip! The glue I have been using for foils is actually a craft glue and it never dries completely, so I guess I need some actual foil glue. Thank you!
